Accidental pic of the year!

As anyone who enjoys photography can attest, you can try so hard to capture the perfect shot, the perfect light, the perfect situation. And then something amazingly unexpected materializes right before your eyes! Like the shot above. One of my favorite spots here in San Diego is the Gliderport in La Jolla, where on a windy day, dozens of gliders, parasails, model airplanes and other craft take flight by literally jumping off the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There's a little cafe there and you can sit and watch the activity for free. We were there the day after Thanksgiving when I accidentally caught the above scene on memory card. Syncronisity indeed!
